Gareth Bale has rubbished reports linking him with a move to Manchester United. “I’m very happy at Real Madrid and could sign a renewal.”
There had been mounting speculation that the Welshman was in line to swap places with David de Gea, but the winger has now corroborated President Florentino Perez's assertion by pledging his loyalty to Los Blancos for the foreseeable future.
“Am I going to Manchester United? I’m very happy at Real Madrid. I love the city, the climate and the club,” he told Dubai Television.
“My contract ends in 2019, and I could sign a renewal.”
Bale has scored 11 goals and assisted a further five in 22 appearances for Madrid so far this season.
