Valencia captain Dani Parejo has reflected on Peter Lim’s takeover of the club and says the Singapore businessman has ambitious plans in place.
Moreover, the 25-year-old feels there is a feeling of stability within the squad and that Los Che are now ready to step up to the next level.
“It’s true the players have been through a tough time and it wasn’t easy to ignore all the fuss that was going on around us,” admitted Parejo in an exclusive interview with AS.
“We all have our own personal issues, such as contract renewals and offers from other clubs, and there were times when we wondered what would happen to Valencia.
“Now we know there is an ambitious project in progress and the foundations are being laid so we can go on and compete at the next level.”
Parejo paid a recent visit to Singapore with teammate Rodrigo and revealed he was keen to meet Lim.
“I was eager to meet him and put a face to the name. He is a very open and transparent person who is very down to earth.
“He put our minds at ease and told us to tell the rest of the squad not to worry about anything,” he disclosed.
