Atletico Madrid winger Alessio Cerci is set to fly to Italy on Monday night to undergo a medical before signing for Milan.
Sky Italia report that the former Torino man, who only joined Atleti in the summer, will go in the opposite direction to Fernando Torres after the Spain international’s loan move to the Vicente Calderon was confirmed.
Cerci eventually gave the nod to the switch back to Serie A after some indecision over the past few days, when it is understood the player had also received an offer from Inter Milan that could have scuppered any deal.
However, his signing is expected to be confirmed within a matter of hours and is believed to be a similar arrangement to the Torres loan deal, which lasts until the end of next season.
