Milan confirm Torres-Cerci talks

Milan Coach Filippo Inzaghi has confirmed that negotiations with Atletico Madrid to exchange Fernando Torres for Alessio Cerci are under way.

The Rossoneri will make the Spanish striker's loan permanent on January 5, but their trainer has now corroborated earlier reports that the move was merely a stepping stone towards a swap deal with the out-of-favour Colchoneros forward.

"Negotiations for Torres and Cerci are under way, but for now Torres is a Milan player and Cerci belongs to Atletico," he told reporters.

Milan face Real Madrid in a Dubai glamour friendly on December 30, and the former Italy international admits he is relishing the encounter.

"The friendly against Real Madrid is not a game like any other. It's special because both clubs have won major titles," he added.

"We're very happy to be here. We know that there have been almost 100,000 requests for tickets. The stadium sold out a long time ago, there's desire to see these two teams so we hope to put on a real spectacle."
