Fran Escriba has said Elche won’t only look to defend when they host Atletico Madrid this weekend.
The Coach told reporters that his team will have to match the champions in a number of areas if they are to get a positive result at Martinez Valero.
“We can’t only defend. We have to try and score,” he said, AS reports.
“With intensity and effort we can at least draw. More than that, we have the quality to win.
“Atletico are dangerous from set-pieces because they have tremendous delivery and strength. They’re as strong as last season.
“They lost a great goalkeeper and striker and bought a great goalkeeper and striker. They’re strong in defence and in attack.”
