Barcelona striker Neymar said after Brazil’s 4-0 friendly win over Turkey on Wednesday that he is going through possibly the best period of his career.
Neymar notched two goals as the Canarinho nonchalantly brushed aside Fatih Terim’s men in Istanbul and could not hide his delight at the way things are going.
“Yes, this could be the best time in my career but I want even more. I don’t just want to stop here,” he told reporters post-match.
The 22-year-old received an ovation from the Turkish supporters and admitted he was completely overwhelmed by it.
“It’s something I will always cherish in my heart. I appreciate all the affection and love everyone showed me.
“I didn’t expect people to chant my name,” he conceded.
