Hazard rubbishes Madrid link

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid and says he is happy in London.

The Santiago Bernabeu has been frequently mentioned as the next destination for the Belgian international, while it has also been suggested the European champions might be prepared to sell Gareth Bale to Manchester United to fund any move for Hazard.

Nonetheless, Hazard told Canal Plus that he is not interested in a move away from Stamford Bridge.

“I chose Chelsea as I knew I was going to play and I’m in my third year here. I don’t know if I’m the team’s main asset but I get great pleasure playing for this side.

“I never said if I left Chelsea it would only be for Real Madrid. Chelsea are the only team that make me dream” declared the 23-year-old.

Hazard has also had to contend with reports that Paris Saint-Germain want to take him back to France, having joined the Blues from Lille for a reported €40m in July 2012, although he is in no hurry to move in the opposite direction.

“I don’t feel any nostalgia when I watch Ligue 1. I think of the future, not the past.

“PSG have some great players but Chelsea have more experience and more players in certain positions.

“We also have more experience in the Champions League,” he claimed.
