Arrasate has ‘the energy’ for La Real

Jagoba Arrasate insists he hasn’t thought of the chances he may be sacked by Real Sociedad and that he has the energy to remain in his post.

Reports have continually linked Arrasate with leaving Anoeta and Coaches such as Thomas Tuchel, Pepe Mel and Juande Ramos with the position.

Former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes has also been touted as a successor but at a Press conference to preview the game against Malaga, Arrasate was adamant he will continue.

“At no time have I thought of leaving. I have the energy and if we all do tomorrow then we will win for sure,” he said, Marca reports.

“I’ve spoken to the board and the sporting director’s department. We’ve spoken every day. They have been candid conversations.

“Everyone will be reviewed. I value they trust in me and that we can win.

“I understand the fans are upset. But these are smart fans. I hope they are with us in the game, with the team. I’m looking forward to it. I believe in these players and I think they have the solution.

“I hope we find the fluency we’ve lacked. We need three points and tomorrow La Real will play. We’ve not spoken much about the game.

“Malaga are at their best, with three straight wins and very dangerous players. We need to win to free ourselves.

“All we have to do is to compete more and compete well tomorrow. We have a team to be higher in the League, despite the injuries.”
