Luis Enrique: Barca attitude was good

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique said the attitude of his players had been good in Supercopa de Catalunya defeat of Espanyol.

Barca beat their cross-city rivals 4-2 on penalties after the game had ended 1-1 after the regulation 90 minutes, with Gerard Pique notching for Enrique’s men.

“The attitude was good and the team has forgotten about what happened in the last few weeks. We are only thinking about the next game against Celta Vigo,” Enrique told reporters.

“This game was for some players to get more time on the pitch, gain match fitness and show the desire they have to take part.

“We took full control of the match and in the end I was satisfied with what I’ve seen.”

The Barca Coach also made special mention of Luis Suarez.

“Luis is getting most things right and showed lots of mobility and enthusiasm.

“He was at the same level as those that played in the first half.”
