Lionel Messi needed a painkiller to play for Barcelona against Real Madrid, it has been reported in Spain.
Sport confirms a story in El Confidential that claimed Messi suffered an ankle injury on Thursday and needed an injection to ease the pain.
The sprain is said to be the reason Messi was quiet at Santiago Bernabeu and there’s no information on how long the problem will take to clear.
