Real Sociedad boss Jagoba Arrasate was at a loss to explain how his side had succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Getafe.
Substitute Pablo Hervias’ 82nd-minute goal looked like giving the Basques just their second win of the season, only for French midfielder Abdoul Yoda to score twice in the dying stages to hand Getafe victory.
“I haven’t got an explanation for how we came to lose a match that was in our own hands,” Arrasate told reporters at the post-match Press conference.
“This was a blow to both myself and the players but luckily there is another game on Saturday against Cordoba, so we have to think about that and prepare as well as possible.”
Arrasate thanked club President Jokin Aperribay for his backing after he went down to the dressing room at full-time to offer his support to the players, but also acknowledged if things continue in the same vein he is facing the sack.
“If we keep on losing and not winning then that is how it’s going to end,” he admitted.
