With Cristiano Ronaldo in his side, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti believes his team are already one goal to the good.
The Italian gave an interview to Radio Cope’s ‘El Partido de los 12 programme’ in which he praised the Portuguese striker’s consistency and weighed into the debate over who is the greatest player of all time.
“It’s hard to say who is the best-ever because things change over time, the technique…but right now Ronaldo is the best player in the world. You can’t compare him with Pele or [Diego] Maradona.
“With Cristiano it’s not easy to rotate him. Statistics tell you that when he plays we almost always score, so you could think that when the game starts we are already 1-0 up.
“He’s a player who has a great capacity to recover [from injury] and is a great professional,” explained Ancelotti.
