Arsenal face competition for Khedira

Arsenal could face competition from Italy for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, according to Tuttosport.

The Spanish media has it that the German international has already agreed terms with the Gunners over a January switch to the Premier League.

However, it is understood that a transfer fee is yet to be discussed and that could pave the way for the Serie A giants to attempt to lure the 27-year-old to the San Siro.

Khedira is in the final year of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu and Madrid President Florentino Perez is open to offers in the winter transfer window, rather than risk losing him for nothing.

Meanwhile, Milan boss Filippo Inzaghi is eager to add Khedira to his squad as he attempts to steer his side back into the Champions League after only managing to finish eighth last season.

Khedira joined Madrid from Stuttgart in January 2010 for a reported €14m.
