Arrasate has La Real backing

Real Sociedad President Jokin Aperribay has said the club need to improve their results but Jagoba Arrasate’s future is not in question.

La Real slipped to a 2-0 defeat against Espanyol this weekend and have recorded only five points from their opening seven League games.

Mundo Deportivo reports Aperribay acknowledging that things have to get better but he didn’t cast doubt over the Coach’s position.

“Having five points isn’t nice and we shouldn’t be in this position,” he said.

“This is a war we have to turn up for. We have to improve.

“It’s not a problem of not trusting the Coach. We have absolute confidence in him. There are lots of things that can be done and must be improved.

“We’ll talk to those involved to improve the situation of the team. We will analyse and discuss things with the Coach, the sporting director and the players.”
