Emery wants satisfied Sevilla fans

Sevilla Coach Unai Emery has said the team are working hard to get results to make the fans happy after a disappointing week.

Los Rojiblancos on Sunday host Deportivo La Coruna at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on the back of a heavy defeat against Atletico Madrid and a draw in the Europa League in midweek with Riejka.

“We have another nice day ahead at the Pizjuan and we want to be at a high level so our fans enjoy it,” Emery told a pre-match Press conference, AS reports.

“We need our team to be together to overcome the difficulties posed by Deportivo.

“The League and the Europa League require a lot from us, especially physically. But we should be consistent and we want to give maximum intensity on the pitch.

“The criticism we’ve had creates doubt while compliments aren’t good either. We want the fans to feel happy with their team and that is our obligation daily, weekly, to create a trust.

“Last year we were adding to our aims game by game, with patience, and this year we want the same. We want the fans to be satisfied.

“Deportivo will be a tough opponent and it won’t be easy to win.”

Regarding the team he will field, Emery refused to confirm if on-loan Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu will feature from the start.

“I think about Deulofeu the same way I think about the other players,” he said.

“We adjust the team to what the game requires, although some players have more options to play than others.”
