Fran Escriba has insisted his Elche side are approaching the game against Almeria as if they were on a winning streak, rather than a losing one.
Elche have lost their last three but Escriba told his pre-match Press conference that the atmosphere around the club is positive regardless of results.
“The team, despite the last three defeats, come into this game with the same enthusiasm as if they had three wins,” he said, Marca reports.
“It’s been a tough week but we haven’t thought about anything other than winning.
“We need to be mature and to move on, looking forward to what is to come.
“Consecutive defeats isn’t a surprise in the Primera. This is a very balanced competition so anything can happen.
“Against Celta we did some good things and we will try to correct the mistakes in defence and be more successful in front of goal.”
