Cristiano Ronaldo wants to line up for Real Madrid against Athletic Bilbao despite an Achilles injury suffered in midweek.
It was on Friday reported that Madrid were waiting to see how the knock developed and today AS claims Ronaldo intends to play against Los Leones.
Ronaldo has been training alone in order to test the injury to his left leg and is said to be satisfied with his condition.
The inflammation is understood to have reduced, although the injury hasn’t fully healed. But Ronaldo wants to play despite not being at full fitness.
AS suggests he could be used from the bench in an effort to be conservative and protect the afflicted area, which was hurt in an incident during Madrid’s 2-1 win over Ludogorets in Sofia.
