Ancelotti: CR7 best I’ve coached

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has heaped praise on Cristiano Ronaldo, calling the Portuguese star ‘the best player I’ve ever coached’.

The Italian is in Bulgaria with his Madrid players preparing for Wednesday night’s Champions League game against Ludogorets, and was asked just how good he considered Ronaldo to be.

“Without wanting to be disrespectful to anyone else he’s the best player I’ve ever coached, very professional and hard-working,” he told reporters.

“I think the change I’ve noticed in him is that he feels more at home wearing the Madrid shirt. He’s a leader who doesn’t say much but leads through all the hard work he puts in.”

Ancelotti believes the game against Georgi Dermendzhiev’s men will be far from the pushover many people are expecting.

“There are no easy games in the Champions League because there are teams like Ludogorets that fight for everything. We’ve already seen they will be tricky opponents from when they played Liverpool.

“Ludogorets play with a lot of heart, with great intensity, and they are likely to make things very difficult for us,” he declared.
