Ancelotti targets Ramires again

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is on the trail of Chelsea midfielder Ramires for a second time.

The Italian, who was in charge at Stamford Bridge when the Premier League outfit signed Ramires in summer 2010, has identified the Brazilian international as the man to bring some much-needed steel to his midfield at the Santiago Bernabeu.

According to the Mirror, Los Blancos would need to part with around €30m for the 27-year-old, who Ancelotti sees as the man in the middle of the pitch to support his strike force of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

However, it is unlikely Blues’ boss Jose Mourinho would consider selling one of the mainstays of his side in January’s transfer window.

Nonetheless, Madrid may be willing to bide their time until next summer when they are prepared to test Chelsea’s resolve to hang on the player.
