Antoine Griezmann believed Atletico Madrid’s 3-2 Champions League defeat to Olympiacos
on Tuesday was a “blip”.
Diego Simeone’s men were undone by goals from Arthur Masuaku, Ibrahim Afellay – on loan from Barcelona – and Kostas Mitroglu, while Mario Mandzukic and Griezmann himself netted for Los Rojiblancos.
However, French international Griezmann put it down to a bad day at the office.
“We lacked playing with any aggression and later on we missed some chances,” he told reporters post-match.
“We must now rest and think about what is coming up next. What happened today was a blip,” he maintained.
