Madrid target Falcao off to England?

It seems Real Madrid’s oft-reported pursuit of Radamel Falcao is off, with stories emerging that a move to England is likely.

Los Blancos have been constantly linked with a move for the Monaco forward this summer, with the player himself tweeting it was ‘a dream come true’ to sign for the Santiago Bernabeu outfit on Saturday.

The Colombia international has since insisted that his official account was hacked – and now a transfer to the Spanish capital seems unlikely.

It emerged late last night that Carlo Ancelotti’s men were lining up Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez as a back-up for Karim Benzema.

And The Guardian are leading with the news this morning that Arsenal and Manchester City have been offered Falcao for a fee of £55m, whilst AS suggest that he will go to Manchester United.

The goalscorer was thought to desperately want to move to Madrid, but it now looks increasingly likely that he’ll, in fact, be off to the Premier League.
