Juventus, Arsenal and Liverpool were all thought to be keen on his services, but it seems that the goalscorer will in fact move to Santiago Bernabeu.
The forward tweeted: “Dream come true #HalaMadrid”, but it was then swiftly deleted from his official profile.
Carlo Ancelotti admitted earlier today that he did not think that the club would sign any more players during this window.
