The British Press has claimed Tottenham Hotspur will complete the signing of Sevilla centre-back Federico Fazio.
Fazio will head to the Premier League after Spurs paid his buyout clause, set at £10m [€8m], according to the Daily Mail.
He is expected to sign a four-year deal at White Hart Lane before the end of the week, Tottenham turning to the Argentine after a move for Villarreal’s Matteo Musacchio collapsed.
Fazio had this summer been appointed as Sevilla captain after Ivan Rakitic left Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan for Barcelona.
