Jagoba Arrasate wants to put Real Sociedad’s defeat to Eibar behind him and prepare for the club’s midweek Europa League fixture.
A Javi Lara goal gave Eibar a 1-0 win in their first-ever top-flight game and a Basque derby, the sides separated by some 30 miles.
Speaking to reporters after the final whistle, Arrasate said the team set out to beat the newly-promoted side, but couldn’t manage the result.
“The feelings are bad. It wasn’t to be,” the Coach said, according to AS.
“Defeats are always hard to digest, especially when you come with the intention of winning.
“We lacked longer sequences [with the ball]. We were opposite a rival who stopped us from doing so.
“We knew perfectly where we were and now what we have seen from Eibar. Now we train and prepare for Thursday’s game.”
