Luis Enrique: I’ve got a unique squad

Luis Enrique was pleased with the way his Barcelona side made tactical adjustments during their win over Leon.

The Blaugrana beat the Mexican outfit 6-0 at Camp Nou on Monday evening, with Luis Suarez making his debut.

And the Coach was happy with his team’s adaptability, and believes they’re in good shape going into the new season.

“We have to learn how to look for alternatives in the system adjusting to what we have in front of us – and we did,” he told reporters.

“The club have to put together a team with the squad we have, and we’ve got an amazing squad.

“We’ve strengthened really well, the club has made a big effort and I’ve got a unique squad.

“We’re in good shape as I expected and we’ll keep on improving with matches and training. In terms of football I would have preferred to have had two months more, but pre-seasons are what they are.

“We can’t press by decree – you have to be organized and targeted.  It’s important to have the ball but it’s also important to win it back as soon as possible.”
