Raul Jimenez was delighted to make his Atletico Madrid debut on Saturday night, as the champions beat Sampdoria 2-0.
The Colchoneros defeated the Italian outfit and lifted the Trofeo Carranza thanks to goals from Saul and Jose Gimenez.
And the Mexican forward, who only joined this week, was thrilled to play his part in the victory.
“I'm very happy to debut with the team and continue doing things right for what’s coming,” he told the club’s official website.
Jimenez then commented on the Supercopa de Espana against Real Madrid, which begins on Tuesday.
“You have to change gears and think about it. And starting tomorrow, train with everyone and think about winning the Super Cup.”
