Miguel Angel Gil Marin has claimed that Marco Reus was never an option for Atletico Madrid.
Rumours circulated earlier this week that the Liga champions were looking to beat Bayern Munich and Manchester United to the signing of the Borussia Dortmund attacker.
However, the Colchoneros’ CEO has insisted that the Germany international was never on their shopping list.
“Reus has never been on Atletico's agenda and his profile does not fit with what the team currently need,” he told TVE.
