Spain international Javi Garcia has left Premier League champions Manchester City for Zenit St. Petersburg.
The BBC confirms the midfielder has signed a five-year contract after completing a £13m [€16m] move to Russia.
Garcia moved to City from Benfica in July 2012 and made 71 appearances for the club, winning the League title and League Cup last season.
The 27-year-old started his career in the Real Madrid youth set-up and has also represented Osasuna. He missed out on a place in the summer World Cup squad but has two caps for La Roja.
