Real Madrid’s goalkeeping coach William Vecchi has backed Diego Lopez to succeed at Milan as he prepares to leave Spain.
According to Marca, Vecchi told the Gazzetta dello Sport that Lopez is one of the best goalkeepers he has worked with.
“He’s a great signing for Milan and is a goalkeeper who has everything,” he said.
“Technically he is complete and he has demonstrated in this last year that he is psychologically able to handle the pressure.
“He had an extraordinary season with a single mistake. He hates conceding goals and I’ve seen him angry in training.
“He’s one of the best goalkeepers I have trained in my life. He stands well, stays on his feet and is very good at making saves.
“His best feature is his agility. He has quick movements despite being 1.96m.”
