Report: Lopez to Milan on loan

Reports in Spain have suggested that Diego Lopez could leave Real Madrid for Milan on a one-year loan deal.

It was claimed earlier in the week that the goalkeeper’s move to Serie A was imminent and both AS and Marca say that is still the case.

AS cite reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport that say Lopez will move on loan as a temporary solution to Madrid’s problem with goalkeepers.

Lopez is one of three in Carlo Ancelotti’s first team, along with captain Iker Casillas and new signing Keylor Navas.

AS also note that the deal will go ahead once Pepe Reina completes his move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich, as the goalkeepers share an agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon, who is currently in Germany.

Marca say that Madrid want the deal done before the European Super Cup, which takes place on Tuesday in Cardiff with Sevilla the opposition.
