Torino President Urbano Cairo has said Atletico Madrid target Alessio Cerci can leave the club if he wants.
AS reports an interview with Cairo on Italian television in which he insists the fee has to be right for Torino, but if it can be agreed, the winger can go.
“I would like him to stay but Cerci has to agree,” Cairo said.
“Let’s talk to him, but if the player wants to leave we can’t stop him. For me it would be a pleasure to renew his contract and him to continue.
“I think at this point the chances of remaining at Torino are 50%.”
AS add that Monaco and Milan are rivalling Atletico for the Italy international and Atleti had an offer of €12m rejected with Toro holding out for €20m.
Cerci wants to play Champions League football, which puts Ateltico and Monaco ahead of Milan, who aren’t in Europe at all next season.
