Angel Di Maria has returned to training with Real Madrid but is still waiting on developments for his move to Paris Saint-Germain.
AS reports the Argentina international was back at Madrid yesterday but it took an intervention from his agent Jorge Mendes to prevent Di Maria no-showing training.
Di Maria wants to join PSG and Madrid are willing to sell – against the wishes of Coach Carlo Ancelotti – but the French champions’ problems with Financial Fair Play are delaying the transfer.
PSG need to sell before they can buy, having been limited by a punishment for breaching FFP rules. Ezequiel Lavezzi could go to Liverpool which would free the money to sign Di Maria.
Monaco have also been in the frame, AS add, but PSG are offering substantially more money, which would help Madrid meet their FFP requirements.
Di Maria was given more time off by Madrid after Argentina reached the World Cup final and he began his training slowly, working alongside Xabi Alonso and Fabio Coentrao away from the main group.
He later joined his teammates but AS claim Di Maria’s involvement in training is largely procedural, with little prospect of the former Benfica midfielder remaining at Santiago Bernabeu.
