Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets and Lionel Messi will be Barcelona’s four captains, reports in Catalonia say.
Mundo Deportivo cite a report from Esport 3 that lists Xavi as the new captain, replacing Carles Puyol, with Victor Valdes’ departure also requiring a new name on the list.
Messi and Busquets are the players to step up, with Iniesta as Xavi’s deputy, Busquets third in the order and Messi fourth.
A vote among the players is to be held today to confirm the appointments and Luis Enrique will approve the result.
