Atletico Madrid Coach Diego Simeone is said to have been very impressed by the pre-season form of goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya.
Moya was signed by the champions at the end of the season for a €3m fee from Getafe and Marca reports that the €16m purchase of Jan Oblak would likely mean Moya is a clear No.2.
However, Oblak has struggled with a back injury in pre-season while Moya has caught Simeone’s eye and Moya may start the season as first choice.
Atletico play the Supercopa first-leg on August 19 and if Oblak’s back hasn’t cleared up by then, former Valencia custodian Moya will get the nod.
