Real Madrid are considering an approach for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, sections of the British Press have claimed.
AS cites a report from the Daily Star that suggests Los Blancos are looking to bolster their striking options with the Belgium international, who spent last season on loan at Everton and the year before that with West Bromwich Albion.
Alvaro Morata recently left Madrid for Juventus, leaving Karim Benzema as the club’s only genuine No. 9 and Lukaku could be an option, although not for the €30m Chelsea are said to want.
Madrid would baulk at paying so much and may face competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Everton, who want the 21-year-old on a permanent basis after the success of his temporary stay.
