James Rodriguez’s expected arrival at Real Madrid could pave the way for Isco to leave the club, just one year after signing.
The Spanish playmaker arrived to much fanfare last summer, with Los Blancos beating Manchester City to his signature.
The 22-year-old joined from Malaga, but found playing time relatively hard to come by under Carlo Ancelotti, with his position behind the forward null and void in their 4-3-3 formation.
However, the Italian is set to revert back to 4-2-3-1 this season, with Rodriguez in that No.10 role.
As such, Isco looks likely to find himself sidelined again, with Marca reporting that he may leave Santiago Bernabeu.
The youngster is desperate to stay, but will wait until the first few weeks of the season to assess whether he will get any meaningful minutes.
If he fails to do so, a switch away looks more than likely. The paper believes that Liverpool and Milan are the teams that have already made contact.
