Lopez or Khedira for James?

Real Madrid could include Casemiro and Diego Lopez or Sami Khedira in their offer for Monaco’s James Rodriguez, reports in Spain claim.

AS say the inclusion of Casemiro has been agreed after Wednesday saw further negotiations between the clubs, with a fee of €80m agreed, although the Brazil midfielder is valued at €10m and the fee would drop accordingly.

Monaco initially asked for Pepe and Fabio Coentrao and were rejected in both cases, but Madrid are willing to include goalkeeper Lopez.

With Keylor Navas due to sign in at Santiago Bernabeu Lopez would be surplus to requirements, but is thought to want to stay at the club and fight for his place.

Lopez is a long-standing Monaco target but there have been no signs from his camp that he is willing to leave despite the arrival of Navas and the continued presence of Iker Casillas.

Should Lopez stand firm then Khedira could enter the equation. The Germany midfielder’s contract expires next year and a renewal hasn’t been agreed.

The James signing is expected to be confirmed once a deal has been reached to sell Angel Di Maria to Paris Saint-Germain. Madrid would use the €60m the Parisians pay for Di Maria to fund the James purchase.
