Germany forward Thomas Muller admitted he was as shocked as anyone to beat Brazil 7-1 in the World Cup semi-final but doesn’t want to stop there.
Muller scored the game’s opening goal and it was 5-0 before half-time, with Brazil’s consolation coming in the last minute of a thoroughly one-sided routing.
“I never expected it to be like that but it worked out perfectly,” AS reports Muller as saying.
“We played as a team and now we want to win the final.
“We knew that Brazil was going to attack and leave spaces.
“It was different from what happened to us against Algeria. We are worse when teams close us down and Brazil didn’t do that.”
