Scolari: We can cope without Neymar

Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has insisted that his side can cope without Neymar ahead of their semi-final against Germany.

The Selecao will be without their top goalscorer for the match in Belo Horizonte on Tuesday after it was confirmed that he had suffered a fractured vertebrae against Colombia.

But the Coach is confident that the rest of his squad can rally together and beat Die Mannschaft.

“Neymar has sacrificed a lot for us and he takes some of us with him as well,” he told a Press conference.

“He has done his job. His injury was a blow for us, but we have left that behind. When we knew he wouldn't be with us, we moved on.

“He spoke to the players and they were more at ease. He has done his share. Now the rest of have do their share – myself, Thiago Silva, the rest of the players.

“We are grateful for everything he has done for us and now we have to take that same mindset into what is a very important match.

“Neymar is not available, but we have 22 other players who were all hand-picked and they are here because they are special.

“We have a gameplan and we want to take one more step up the ladder and play the final at home.”
