Costa Rica Coach Jorge Luis Pinto expressed his pride in his side after they were beaten on penalties by Holland.
The Central Americans were making their first ever quarter-final appearance and took the Dutch all the way to spot-kicks after a goalless 120 minutes in Salvador.
"We're proud,” Pinto said after the final whistle. “We're not a world power.
“We work with what we have. We're going home unbeaten at the World Cup."
