Colombia Coach Jose Pekerman has said he doesn’t fear World Cup quarter-final opponents Brazil any more than any other side.
The countries meet tonight with the winners advancing to the last four of the tournament. Speaking at a Press conference to preview the fixture, Pekerman predicted a difficult game.
“The key is not to think about previous situations,” AS reports the Argentine as saying.
“For Colombia every game is a new challenge. We can’t look back and think about what has happened. We have to play our game according to what we’re doing. With confidence and without feeling there is a favourite.
“We have to take this game as we have taken games against each one of our rivals.
“It will be tough. We expect a very difficult game. It’s a quarter-final, about to enter the final four.
“It’s a huge step for both teams and this is a decisive game. We know and respect that Brazil have great players, but we’ve seen that Colombia do too.”
