Jurgen Klinsmann offered his congratulations to Belgium after his United States side were knocked out of the World Cup.
Belgium now go on to play Argentina in the quarter-final and Klinsmann after the match told the Press that the performance of his players was of a very high standard.
“It’s hard to end up on the losing side after 120 minutes of giving absolutely everything,” the Coach said.
“But this game had everything, it was a thriller. We had chances to equalise, but congratulations to Belgium.
“I’m proud of the players not just for what they’ve done tonight, but what they’ve done throughout the tournament. They’ve made the country proud.”
