Pizzi future at Valencia unsure

Juan Antonio Pizzi may not continue as Valencia Coach despite starting the planning for the club’s pre-season.

Marca has reported that Pizzi could be replaced by Nuno, the former Deportivo La Coruna, Merida and Osasuna goalkeeper who was previously in charge of Rio Aves in Portugal.

Nuno, who also played for Porto and Dinamo Moscow, could be confirmed on the bench when Peter Lim completes his takeover of Los Che.

But until Lim is officially the owner of the club, Valencia are effectively in limbo, the report adds, as there are a host of deals waiting to be concluded.

It’s said that Pizzi hasn’t heard from anyone at Valencia for 10 days but is due back in the city this week to start pre-season, but may not finish it as Valencia Coach.

The players are said to have joked among themselves that when they return to training in a week’s time, they don’t know who will be the Coach they work under.
