James: A dream to play in Spain

Colombia and Monaco forward James Rodriguez has admitted he dreams of playing in La Liga.

James has lit up the World Cup, scoring five goals in four games including a spectacular first against Uruguay in Saturday night’s Round of 16 meeting.

He later added the game’s second goal when he converted a sweeping team move and AS has reported the former Porto man as admitting his ambitions lie in a return to Iberia.

“I’d like to play in Spain. It would be a dream to play there, a League that is the best in the world,” he said.

He added that the World Cup has gone better than he could have imagined, but expects the competition to only get more difficult.

“I think the hardest part comes now. All players were vital to the win,” he continued.

“I’m happy because we won. I’ve no idea what’s being said outside. Maybe I’ll find out when we leave but I’m happy and focused and playing every game like it’s the last.”
