Barcelona have made a €40m offer for Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos, according to reports.
Catalan sports daily Sport claim that the Blaugrana tabled the offer this week, but are yet to hear anything from the French side.
Sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has been keen to add the central defender to the squad for two years now, but has so far been batted away by Laurent Blanc’s men.
The Camp Nou outfit are not confident of receiving a positive response however, despite PSG signing David Luiz earlier this summer.
Luis Enrique has highlighted the need for a centre back during the off-season, and is desperate to get one before the start of the campaign.
