Xavi ‘doesn’t know next club’

Xavi Hernandez is essentially without a team now as he is leaving Barcelona but doesn’t know for where, AS have claimed.

It’s said that Xavi has told friends he will quit Camp Nou this summer and did have two offers from Qatar, but the Qatari government has intervened because of the money that was offered to the Spain international.

One of the two offers could be re-issued or a third club could enter the frame but as it stands, a move to the Middle East is thought to be off the table.

Xavi also has an offer from New York City FC and could accept a move to MLS, where he would reunite with a number of former Barca figures, including David Villa, who is to join the club for the 2015 season, their first in the League.

New York City FC, co-owned by Manchester City, are willing to wait on Xavi to decide his future, with a salary of €8m said to be what Xavi stood to earn in Qatar.
