Marseille have made an approach to Espanyol for defender Hector Moreno, according to reports in Spain.
AS say that the offer came through an intermediary and Espanyol President Joan Collet has confirmed he is aware of an approach, but didn’t confirm the identity of the club.
But it’s been reported that it is Marseille, with a fee of €6m the first offer from the French club, although the bid isn’t yet official as new Coach Marcelo Bielsa is still weighing up his options.
Tottenham Hotspur and Hull City are both said to maintain an interest in the Mexico international.
Moreno could leave Espanyol, as could Christian Stuani and Kiko Casilla, while the club has signed Salva Sevilla and Felipe Caceido is the next priority, it’s been claimed by AS.
