Xavi Hernandez and Pedro Rodriguez are to talk with Barcelona about their respective futures at the club.
Mundo Deportivo report that Barca’s Spain internationals have returned home, with the exception of Gerard Pique, and the likes of Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta and Jordi Alba have started their holidays prior to pre-season training.
But Xavi and Pedro have things to discuss. Xavi is understood to have decided he wants to quit Camp Nou despite having two more years on his contract, while Pedro’s future is in doubt as well.
Pedro has the same length of time on his deal as Xavi but with interest from Liverpool, among others, could leave the club. The winger wants to know where Coach Luis Enrique and sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta stand on his future.
Xavi, meanwhile, will meet with his agent, Ivan Corretja, to mull over offers from Qatar, MLS and perhaps Manchester United.
A move to Qatar had been considered most likely as it was the most financially rewarding, but the Qatari government has thrown the deal into doubt.
Xavi and his representative also need to meet with Barca to finalise his departure from the club.
