Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo has admitted that there has been no official offer from Chelsea for Diego Costa.
The Spain international is widely believed to be on his way to Stamford Bridge this summer, with the player himself conceding that a switch will happen sooner or later.
But the Colchoneros chief has insisted that although it looks difficult to keep the goalscorer, and official offer is not actually in place.
“We don't know anything about Costa, all we know is that Chelsea have made contact but we haven't received any money or anything else yet,'' Cerezo told a Press conference
“Until we receive the money from his buy-out clause, he remains an Atletico player.'
“We've always tried to convince our players to stay, but the difference between our finances and that of other clubs is very large.”
