Chile Coach Jorge Sampaoli wasn’t too critical of his side after the 2-0 defeat to the Netherlands.
The result means the South Americans end Group B in second place but according to AS, Sampaoli was relatively happy with the team’s performance.
“Unfortunately we didn’t find the arguments to equalise,” Sampaoli said.
“It was a very close match to try and get back in and make changes but we didn’t give up and the players put in a great effort.
“The Netherlands sat back and we looked for an equaliser but it was very complicated.
“We wanted to be top but now we have to think of Group A and what comes next.”
Chile will meet the winners of Group A in the next round.
